The Glory Morning for Sunrise at Borobudur Temple

there are many places to see for the sunrise, but in this time, its pretty special, I have chosed borobudur sunrise. Yepp, Well known as the 9th-century Buddhist sanctuary of Borobudur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Borobudur Temple was built by Sailendra dynasty between 750 and 842 AD. In terms of world wide religious structures, it was very early, it would be 300 years before Cambodia’s Angkor Wat was constructed, 400 years before work began on the great European cathedrals. Uppssss…By the way, It’s really hard to explain what is Borobudur here.  you can search by google engine…hehehee.

well, at that time I woke up really early at 3.00 am to prepare all things before I go hunt for sunrise. I depart from Jogja at 3.30 in the morning by motorbike. it was really cold but really eager to capture new sunrise. then, I arrived at Manohara hotel at 4.30am. For me the price is expensive but its worthed to see what I want to see. and I get what I want to see.  you only will get coffee or tea and fried banana and also you got a flash light from the manohara hotel. Borobudur  has a beautifull view for the sunrise. check this out below

waiting for the Sunrise from Borobudur Stupa looking towards Mt Merapi & Mt Merbabu. it’s really good to wait for the sunrise in the second level. But in this time I couldn’t see for the Merapi volcano, because of my camera’s baterry is low batt, so I’ve just got 3 pictures only.  I know it’s silly reason but it’s happened. so, before you go there you have to make sure your battery is fully charge already.

Then the mysterious mist enveloped the temple. It was foggy when I want to take a picture from the foot of Borobudur. At least there was still light. and getting bright by the sun. Anyway, enjoy your travel guys with your own way.

The Sparkling Sunset in Jogja

Heloo, The pretty of sunset blows up my head with question: How it could be ? Do you know what does  sunset mean?  According from the website of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunset  sunset or sundown is the daily disappearance of the Sun below the western half of the horizon, i.e. at an azimuth greater than 180 degrees, as a result of Earth’s rotation.  In this  late-afternoon sun in one of the tropical country, the chances are pretty good for a spectacular sunset.  The “sunset” is usually a localized cell where the clouds don’t reach to the horizon.  This means that the sun will be able to dip below the clouds and light them from underneath.

Many people think if they want to see the best sunset, you must go to the beach. But I would like to say “Not Always”  hahahahaah. There are many places to see the amazing sunset in Jogja.  So,  watch for these sunset pictures below:

Sometimes, I am thingking that  the dim twilight and golden shade of the sun on the water surface more raise a romantic atmosphere. So, you don’t need to go to somewhere for far away and pay alot for this.  Happy travelling :)

Lovely Sunrise at Punthuk Setumbu

Hey guys, I am back after a long time I didnt show post on blog. Now, I wanna share experience to Putuk Sethumbu. Punthuk Setumbu is the name of a hill located about 4 km behind Borobudur. The hill located in the village of Karangrejo is one of the best places to see the greatest of Buddhist Temple in the morning as well as to see the sunrise behind Merapi Mountain. There are various ways to reach the hill with an altitude of 400 m above sea level, such as by walking, riding a bike, or riding motorcycles. Having not recognized the field well, I chosed to ride motorcycle. Exactly, I started from Jogja at 3:30 am,  through the morning cold air began. climbed a steep path through the field in the middle of the dark, cold, and wet morning. The combination of the wind that hit the tops of trees and small path hill. Really so cool, the sky was partly cloudy, so it seemed that there was no star as a light. Street lights were totally invisible, motorcycle lights were the only source of light.

I drove so fast from Jogja to get there it took 45 minutes, I have arrived at the foothill of Punthuk Setumbu Hill. Punthuk Setumbu Hill manager who guarded the post welcomed and lent us a flashlight after we pay for entrance fee. the ticket is quite affordable, its only Rp 15.000, 00.

lovelytime to wait for sunrise.

When the weather is sunny, golden orange rays of light would be racing to color the sky and the sun slowly rises from behind of its throne.and at that time before we arrive at that place we didnt forget to buy our snack, we chosed tempe mendoan for aour snack that we bought in Angkringan  (the small stall)

Tempe Mendoan

we were really enjoyed at that time, and we were so happy though the weather for us was quite cold because was just rain.

when the sunrise was gone

after from there we go back to parking area to take our motorbike and then we drove to Borobudur temple to see Borobudur temple in the morning. borobudur temple opens at 6am.
